Hi there!

I’m Dr. Gila,

(Rhymes with “tequila,” but I won’t leave you with a hangover 😉)

I’m a psychologist and neuropsychologist, but none of my fancy degrees fully prepared me to handle some of the challenges of single-parenting a “strong-willed,” neurodivergent kiddo.

I dove head-first into the parenting research and discovered powerful tools for my own family.

Along the way, I discovered a passion for helping other struggling parents…like you!

Now, as a Jai-certified parenting coach, I combine my personal experience, professional background, and a hefty dose of compassion to offer trauma-informed, connection-centered support tailored to your family’s needs.

Parenting gets easier when you stop trying to do it all alone.

“I love that Dr. Gila is evidence-based, but also warm and genuine.”

“Her lived experiences as a mom allow her such an empathic approach, which allowed me to feel so much less alone and overwhelmed. Her deep knowledge, combined with the actionable strategies she gave us, made her absolutely invaluable! And her suggestions WORKED! What a Godsend.”

— Steph, Mom of an 8-year-old boy with ADHD

Together, we’ll work on things like:

This work is tailored to your family structure, your child, and your real-life constraints.

If you’ve been barely holding it all together, it’s time to get the support that holds you.

“Dr. Gila is wise and compassionate in her parent coaching.”

“She’s an excellent listener, and gives guidance that’s attuned to the individual quirks of a particular parent-child relationship rather than falling back on general platitudes. Plus, she has a great sense of humor and is an all-around nice person. Highly recommended!”

— Andrew, Divorced dad of 2

You weren’t meant to white-knuckle this alone.

Let’s find your single-parent groove, harnessing the three core components of empowered single parenting.

🌱 You, the parent

Just like a tree needs strong roots to weather the storms, your parenting thrives when it’s grounded in your values, vision, and regulation.

Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you, unpack the patterns you’ve inherited, and build tools to help you stay steady when things get messy…even when you’re the only adult around.

🧠 Your child

Your kid’s behavior is telling a story. We”ll tune into your unique child, decode what’s underneath their meltdowns and resistance, tap into their beautiful strengths, and figure out how to support them the way they need and deserve.

🤝 Your relationship

Connection is the foundation of a healthy relationship, and your not-so-secret “weapon” in parenting…and in life. You’ll learn practical, respectful strategies to build trust, reduce conflict, and create a home where both you and your child feel seen, heard, and loved — even in the hard moments.

It's time you had someone in your corner.

Coaching packages start at $997, with flexible payment options available.

“Dr. Gila has been amazing!”

“She is able to listen and reflect back and reframe as necessary (and it’s often been necessary) without judgment and with so much kindness and solidarity.

I am so grateful to have Gila in my corner and in my head, helping me celebrate the small successes, and gently and so wisely troubleshooting the challenges.

I’ve been able to bring more love, positivity, respect, and playfulness into my interactions with my kids. And I’ve been able to weather and bounce back from the less ideal interactions without feeling as demoralized.”

— Lauren, Single mom by choice
